SIX STEPS TO A SMOOTH BATHROOM RENOVATION
The bathroom of your dreams is within your grasps, but can it wreak havoc on your life?? Of course!! Exceeding budgets, unrealistic high expectations, different strangers entering your home each day are all things that could affect each and every family. And though escaping these daily stresses might seem wonderful, it usually just isn’t in the cards. The following six tips can lead to a more enjoyable, less stressful renovation.

1. Be realistic! --A small, windowless bathroom cannot become a sundrenched bathing paradise, except in your dreams. Work within your reality, use renovation and design books to create “your style.” As in things that you feel would work in your space. Also, use our picture library to find things we have done in the past that may suit your space.

2. Come up with a project budget! --And then add at least 10-15% for extras and unplanned expenses. This is important because labour and materials add up quickly. Small things like trying to work around existing furniture then later deciding to overhaul the entire thing can greatly affect your budget. Ask us the important questions that will allow yourself to achieve your dream without breaking the bank.

3. Understand waiting times! --Unlike the DIY shows on your television, many things ordered take a considerable time to complete due to their “custom” design. To make each and every bathroom perfect, we order most cabinetry, granite, flooring to fit your space. This can take time and a little patience, but our process attempts to minimize as much waiting as possible to complete the job on schedule.

4. Really sell the family on the reno!

5. Don’t sweat the small stuff! --As considerate contractors, we do our best to not allow the dirt and dust to take over any other spaces than the workspace. Unfortunetly, this cannot always be completely successful due to vents, spaces under doors and general air movement around the house. Allow at least one month for dust to completely settle before doing the “big clean” and a vent cleaning is never a bad idea (your home was probably due for one anyways!)

6. Hire Us!! --Our goal in each and every renovation is to provide the very best in design, contracting and renovating! Our work has been renowned throughout the Markham area for 15 years and we are proud of each and every job completed. From Bob’s design capabilities to Morgan’s skilled handiwork, your job can run smoothly and give you the space of your dreams!
